iPhone Tethering

Internet Tethering - iPhone

O2 have now released a tethering Bolt-On to enable tethering on your contract without any additional bills beyond the cost of the Bolt-On plan

If you use an alternative to the Bolt-On to enable tethering, such as with Cydia, Installer, or downloading a file to change your carrier settings...

Then please note that you do so at your own risk. O2 will see your data usage increase so do not be surprised at all if you are charged at the standard rate for the data you use

And to emphasise, whilst O2 may or may not be able to specifically tell whether data is going through your iPhone or via tethering, they will be able to see your data use increase. Be aware that if you make use of tethering you risk breaking O2's terms and conditions for fair usage on the "unlimited data" bundle

With these caveats in mind, please see: http://www.avforums.com/forums/iphon...on-thread.html

Update: O2 have now announced that they reserve the right to disconnect any person found to be using tethering without having purchased the Bolt-On
