Contacts / Backups Question

- Just thinking about Friday switchover will all contacts still be on the sim? otherwise i don't have a copies anywhere.

- Also regarding previous backup entries, will these no longer existing from the 3G in iTunes - things like contacts, messages, calender entries, etc ?

Re: Contacts / Backups Question

No you'll need to synch them with Outlook or Apple Mail

I believe that all of your backup entries should work with the phone?? Hope so anyway

EDIT: Can anyone confirm this second point is the case? I really am hoping to restore my phone from a backup!

Re: Contacts / Backups Question

Are you sure there will be no telephone contacts on the SIM or in a previous backup file ?

I have no contacts on my SIM at all, but then I switched from Vodafone which is the reason why, so it is most likely different.

Would like an answer to the question of synching....

Re: Contacts / Backups Question

You can set up your 3GS from a backup of your old iPhone and you wont lose anything.
