Stuck on Tmobie, can I use my sim in a Iphone?

I am on half price line rental with Tmobile for life, so have a v.good deal

My number is locked in for another 14 months with them, which I want to keep.

Anyway i can get an iphone and use my sim in it ?

Currently carry round my phone, ipod touch, and sat nav

So a new Iphone seems to be ideal

Only if you buy a legally unlocked one (as I have) or a jailbroken one.

Got mine of the net from the Aussies.

Buy a 3g from the forums here, upgrade it to 3.0 firmware, jailbreak and unlock it with Quickpwn 3.0 and Ultrasn0w on Friday. Bob's your nuncle.

Re: Stuck on Tmobie, can I use my sim in a Iphone?

Blimey pal, read the forums. The dev-team that do the hacks announced on Tuesday their latest suite, ultrasn0w, can unlock the 3g (though not the 3GS.) It's a revolution I tell you.

There are loads of people here flogging their 3g handsets to buy 3gs ones. The new handsets are not that much improved over the old so you could buy a 3g, still get lots of the new features in the 3.0 firmware, and keep your number on T-mobile.

Any 3G phone running OS3.0 "should" be able to be unlocked after the dev team release the new tools imminently (ultrasnow).

See this thread: http://www.avforums.com/forums/iphon...-imminent.html
