Ideally I'd like to sync my ipod as normal (30Gb) with selected files from my iTunes directory (80ish Gb) and the odd selected file onto the iPhone (16Gb)
??
Thanks in advance |
the easiest way to do it is to create a new itunes library, thats what i do and i can sync both my ipod 80gig and iphone 16gig on the same computer.
To do this just hold down the shift key when starting itunes and it should give an option to choose or create a library, just create one and call it "iphone" and then copy what music you want into this library from your main itunes music folder. Just make sure you have the correct itunes music folder selected before connecting your ipod or iphone or you will do what i did when i connected my iphone whne it was on the ipod livrary and it started to copy everything from my ipod onto my iphone. So when you want to sync a device just hold down shift when starting itunes and selct the library you want to use.
