Transferring Apps to new iphone?

Hi all,

I am getting a new iphone 3GS on Friday and was wondering if i can transfer my free and more importantly paid Apps that i had on my ipod touch?

I've searched for the answer here and on the net with no luck which is strange or is it so obvious and im missing something? like a brain

Also im giving my daughter the ipod touch so will i have to de activate the account on it and keep the Apps on it? Or can i add my new iphone to the same account?

Any help will be appreciated Thanks. Dave.

P.S Not too bothered about the music and video files as they are stored on my laptop anyway

Re: Transferring Apps to new iphone?

Synchronise it with iTunes and select the Apps you want from the property pages of the iPhone when displayed (or let it Sync all of them automatically). The method is the same as it is with your current iPod Touch, so long as you authenticate with the same iTunes account details

U can have several iphones/touches on the same itunes account. I have 3 on mine. I only pay for each app once.
