3.0 Release time?
What time will the update be released? Is it a simultaneous worldwide release, so about 6pm here?

... of course I meant for the 17th...

It's a 30 day rolling contract.

You get free minutes and messages like a contract, but no free / subsidised handset. Your contract is for 30-days maximum at any one time and automatically rolls over each and every month until you cancel.

You are billed by DD and any usage over and above your free allowance is billed accordingly.

Pure guess but I reckon it'll be 00:00PDT (Since Apple is based in California) which equates to 8:00am UK time.

It's actually out now, if you know where to look. It's on Apples servers, or at least it was, and it was downloaded. Mine is just syncing up after a restore. The Finder is great, searches contacts, mail and apps. Just charging up my S9 now to see if the A2DP works!

I asked about Simplicity as i didnt know if i needed to change my APN settings, but as mr.manchester sattes, i jsut got a text saying i need to change it as it will be here in the evening.

There's quite a lot of Swedish members on AVF - be nice to help them out

I am loving the copy n paste but feel almost robbed that they did not give the landscape keyboard feature to finder or calendar or come to think of it - every other screen that requires input. It just seems plain daft to me

there's loads and loads of links......... if u just search for the ISPW name, which is in another thread in the iphone forum......

very tempted to dl and install...... apple arent likely to bork my phone if i plug it in in the future and they realised i updated it before the official release are they?

I really doubt it. It's the legitimate 3.0, which was downloaded from the Apple site.

i do think 3 will really come into its own as the new api's get implemented into developer apps.....

Thread off topic. We are getting good weather. I would say that a few hours of nature is not too bad to pass the time over an OS update that will last as long as it takes for the successor to arrive
