3gs wont pickup WIFI

Something strange,

the 3gs works perfect with the wifi at home but since last few hours its not been detecting the network.

recent activity is that i installed 3.1.2 and JB'd yesterday followed by unlock. i think prior the wifi problem i installed Bossprefs but got rid of it for safe measure and the problem still persists...

any ideas or do i need to restore....

thanks,

Simba

Hi Simba,

This is a problem with the 3.1.2 firmware, and from reports I have read is quite common.

The first thing to do is to go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

This will reboot the phone and should do the trick. However if it doesnt then apply the iphoneil push/utube fix, I found it worked for me...

YouTube - iPhone Fix for Youtube App - WiFi - GPS issues after Jailbreaking through Blackra1n RC3

Hope this helps...

I havent come across that one, but lets know how the restore goes, maybe it will sort it, and remember to have your correct mobile provider settings installed...

I had the same problem initially but it cleared up after a few days and a reset

If you have hacktiated your iphone with blackra1n then be sure to add http://cydia.iphoneil.net/ as a source and install pushfix as well to get youtube and push working properly

Also did you do a restore before you ran blackra1n and blacksn0w? It is best advised.
