Iphone could not be restored!

Hi

I'm attempting my 1st jailbreak and am failing badly!

I have downloaded the pwnage restore file and have left clicked and chose Restore in iTunes - then browsed to the file I downloaded.

However, after about 10 minutes I get an error saying "The iphone XXX could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1015).

Am I doin something stupid? Any help would be appreciated!

What iPhone are you using? If it is the new 3GS you need to use the Blackra1n tool.

My iphone is version 3.12(?) and i've tried restoring it, and then retried loading the latest firmware but still the same error.......

Am I supposed to do something before attempting this procedure that i'm not aware of????

Its just a 3g, and I only have access to Windows.
