All I can suggest is to restore the phone to a clean 3.1.2 firmware and re-run blackra1n/blacsksn0w.

So do you suggest restoring and using an o2 sim to activate then re jailbreak/unlock?

In settings > general > network > cellular data network, are they correct? every time I turn mine off/on now it resets these to the o2 contract settings.
