Updating Baseband.

Updating Baseband.
So with the official unlock out and blackra1n meaning you can update to the latest baseband what are the benefits?

I'm running a pwned 3gs on 3.1.2 has anyone had any experience with updating the baseband to the current version;

specifically does updating the baseband improve the signal on the phone?

Devteam say there aren't any benefits to doing so.
