Carrier Logo Fix for 3.1.2 pwnage tool upgrades

Just seen this... Fix Missing Carrier logo After Jailbreak iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 Pwnage Tool | iPhone 3G S

Hope this helps those that updated by pwnage tool, you should now be able to get your carrier name back.

If you've used MakeItMine, set the field to blank, then press Carrier

I have a vodafone sim installed and with the fix it tells me I am on Mobistar

Back to MakeitMine I think.

Strange, Movistar is a spanish one.

The package is IIRC prepopulated with a list of allowed carriers, not all will work... wonder if it could be edited

You can use the custom Vodafone logo which works with v3.1.2 (after using Carrier Logo fix from Cydia)

I copied the files across in a ssh client and now have the vodafone name & logo from the carrier file mentioned in the above link.

Aaaaarrrgggghhhhhh...upgrading to "carrier logo fix v0.2" in Cydia has now made my logo disappear. Uninstalled it and then reinstalled still hasn't brought back my logo. If it aint broken...

Anyone else back to square one?

I updated and am having no issues, not sure what to suggest for you.

Yep,

Ran the update and lost the logo, reverted to the text I had from make it mine (MIM). Deleted that text in MIM and now I get no carrier name or logo whether carrier fix is running or not.

I can do the ssh of the log files again so not a big deal for me.

Did you manage to get the Vodafone carrier logo back? I tried to SSH the files again into User > Libary > Operator.bundle.bundle but i still don't get the logo. FYI i have the following files in the directory:

Default_CARRIER_VODAFONE.png
FSO_CARRIER_VODAFONE.png
carrier.plist
Info.plist

Are you using a custom Voda logo or the standard one?

If the former then post your logo files (under User>Library>Operator.bundle.bundle) here and i will have a look and see whats wrong (if anything).

If you don't get the standard voda logo anymore then just use Fakecarrier or MakeItMine from Cydia, where you can enter your own text.

Unlocled wife's Iphone using BlackRain. She has PAYG G2 sim. Is there anyway we can set it to access web etc outside wifi? All the settings have seen refer to contract. Is there any prog that will set it automatically?

The O2 payg settings just need the mobile.o2.co.uk to be replaced with payandgo.o2.co.uk, if you have idata.02.co.uk instead of mobile change that.

Is the O2 payg sim an iphone one, as not all O2 payg sims will have free web access?

If you have internet as an addon for Vodafone then no problem , if not adhoc internet access may get expensive.

But the settings would be:

Cellular data
APN: internet
username: web
password: web

MMS

wap which it says is the PAYT but no joy.
