i was just wondering how i change to get 5 icons on the bottom dock rather than 4??

Install Five Icon Dock from Cydia. (this should be in Customisation tho )

By which the poster means, you need to jailbreak your phone first. This will give you access to Cydia, a sort of alternative App Store where all sort of wonderful tweaks & apps can be found.
