I recently decided that although I loved the freedom of a jailbroken iphone, the sluggishness was no longer a price worth paying and so when the next firmware upgrade came along I upgraded and didn't bother re-jailbreaking.
The problem was my iphone battery was now lasting less than a day even on little to no usage. There were a couple of quirks as well - the name I had put on my screen using Make it Mine whilst jailbroken still appeared and i had all these blank icons from iblank that I just couldn't get rid of.
Numerous restores didn't solve the issue and I didn't feel I could go to an apple store as the quirks above showed that it was a previously jailbroken phone.
Then yesterday I did a restore and didn't reload my backup but just started again and I can't believe how snappy my phone is and how long the battery is lasting. It's remarkable. Anyone else decided to cross back over to the boring world of unjailbroken phones?
