Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

On a separate note.

I would still advise people NOT to upgrade the the V2.2 FW for the new features. There is really hardly any difference for UK users, at least until Streetview is up and running in the UK.

Ultimately it would be better if we get a true unlock solution that doesn't require any adapter. The guys working on this have stressed not to update.

However, as per earlier in the any-network works thread, if you jailbreak the phone and use a custom firmware with the baseband update removed...then you can get the 2.2 features and still use the any-network adapter.

I ver ymuch doubt a stabilised Safari is worth £30. But thinking ahead, what FW upgrades are worth £30, i doubt many. MMS, but i think thats never going to happen.
Id stay to 2.1 if i didnt have to get a new unlocker sim.

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

Hey guys,

I purchase the v3 device from any-network about 4 days ago and when I checked the status of my order, it says that there still is not a tracking number been assigned. So this means that they have not even mailed my item YET!

They said the customers would receive the item within 3-4 days but they haven't even mailed my item yet!!! I have tried to call them and email them many times but without success. It makes me really scared and I feel like they either forgot about my order, or are just scammers.

Can someone please tell me they already received their device, so at least they are not scammers?

Thank you so much!

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

As said previously I do not believe they are scammers they just do not provide any degree of aftersales/custolmer service that I have witnessed (Although others seem to have received responses to email )

Bearing in mind that they must have thousands of customers spending another £29.99 with them to upgrade their now defunct v2 cards I would suspect that they are overloaded with orderes and 3-4 days may be optimistic, just don't expect them to reply to your enquiries and give it a few more days if I were you

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

I wouldnt worry about it.
I have bought from them in the past and it got sent out on the 4th working day, so im working from that. Which means mine will be sent out tomorrow.

As said in previous post, they probably have ALOT of orders to get through and your wont be long.

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

Um.....so it's sent out on the 4th day? That makes more sense I guess. It sucks cuz there are other places that sells similar devices and the only reason I brought from them is cuz they seemed to provide faster shipping. But....oh well!

I sent them 4 emails and haven't got one back yet. Maybe cuz I'm from America lol jkjk

Anyways, thanks guys! it did make me feel a bit better hearing it from you guys. I just hope they didn't lose my order or something. lol

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

A classic example of what happens when you don't offer decent after sales service/support, ultimately Any-network will pay the price in adverse publicity if enough customers are messed about or feel unfairly treated

Spaced K, how do you know your sim v3 is on the way? Did they actually email you or answer your calls?! I ordered mine 4 days ago and got nothing in return.

Also, nictry, did you try to order the v3? I assume you heard nothing from them? Have you ordered from them before?

This is my second one, i broke my first V2 one so had to buy a new one .

Did you read this on their site :

Contacting Support
Since the release of our new v3 device we have taken 1,000's of orders, calls and emails. We're working as fast as we can to process everything however because of the high demand our response times may be slower than normal. The v3 device is the only one available to unlock the iPhone 2.2 Firmware worldwide.

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

I did read that but I just didn't expect them to ignore my emails after 5 days! I mean, they did say that it will be shipped 3-4 days and I originally assumed I will get the device within 3-4 days, but now it's the 5th day and I still haven't been assigned a tracking number yet. It's a little fraustrating.

But if you already ordered one from them before, then I guess they may not be scammers. lol but it would be NICE if they just email people back sometimes!

How did you break your v2 btw?

I broke it by taking it in and out of the phone about 20 times in a row tyring to sort out a 3G problem i had (when it wasnt the sims fault ).
It bent at the bottom and instead of trying to straighten it i picked it off and found out that the bit i picked off was part of a circuit )

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

so did any of you receive the sim card from any-network yet? i did get the tracking number about 4 days ago. but royal mail still does not tell me anything regarding the status of the sim card except "Information on your item is not yet available. If the International Signed For® item was posted today please note that the majority of items are tracked during the night. Please try again tomorrow."

it is really really pissing me off. i am at the point of canceling my order and just buy the rebel sim or something along that nature. lol

please let me know if you guys had any luck with stupid any-network and got the sim card!

Re: Any-Network have apparantly cracked V2.2 FW

Go ahead and cancel then if you feel that strongly about it.

Mine is on its way but wont expect it until Monday as my last one got delivered on the 4th day. I for one will be very happy when it arrives, but for now im content to wait as i know what to expect (as this is my second one)
