importing movies itunes AARRHHH

Ok i have had my iphone a month and tonight i have tryed to import a movie into itunes (latest version 9) to my 3gs iphone. But can i do it no its a proper format and size. I have tryed drop and dragging adding the file to library nothing its as if it does nothing.It must be such a simple process but after whatching all youtube vids im stuck AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRHHHHHH

found problem i was looking in the movie part not the tv tab as it was a south park episode not a movie
