White or Black - Any problems

Hi,

Could anyone tell me is the white 3gs or black 3gs any more or less susceptible to damage/wear than the other?

I was just wondering if one had any known issues with the casing breaking/discolouring than the other?

Barry

Re: White or Black - Any problems

With the 3G, there were more reported cases of the white version cracking. I personally think this was because it's easier to notice on white than black, not because they were more fragile.

With the 3GS there have been reported cracking problems on both.

Ultimately if you're buying new you have a warranty to fall back on and Apple will exchange it no questions asked if it cracks, so long as it's not taken a knock or drop.

Scratches aren't as noticable on the white version but you will be able to notice cracks easier on the white one. Cracks usually form around the cable connecter and speaker and mic holes at the bottom of the phone. These arent as easy to spot on the black iphones.
