wep key???

Hi i have been using my 3gs fine on my home network with a wpa key. Went to my dads to show off my phone but it wont connect to his wireless router i put the password in with capslock ect but wont connect. If i disable security to router it connects fine. Even if i use wpa key it connects ok. Does the iphone 3gs have problem with WEP keys?? If it does thats very poor of apple i have the latest 3gs software aswell. any help please

WEP is seriously not secure and can be easily broken by hackers so I would advise that you consider changing your method of encryption.

Doesn't answer your question I know but I thought I would let you know.

I have told my dad about changing it to wpa2. But due to him having a old USB wireless adaptor which only supports wep on his second computer. But that has still not answers the question does the iPhone support wep? Is anybody else use wep and can connect? I myself have a 64digit wpa2 key which is a pain to type in

Just turn the phone off then on also try turning wifi off and on again

Mines currently connected via WEP, as having problems with my iPhone pulling a decent connection when on WPA2

Oh right thought it might be a hard reset option I did try the wifi off and back on but still the same I back home now so shall switch it off and on next time I'm there but I switch my phone off every night anyway

have you tried entering the password exactly rather than all caps? also, the first time you connect i think you may have to enter the password in twice.
