Which radio app?

I have recently ditched my DAB radio out of the conservatory in favour of a decent set of iPod speakers

I never really listened to DAB but now it has gone I miss the option to play radio 1

Is there an app that will allow me to listen to BBC Radio 1 via Wi-Fi?

Sorry to ask such a stupid question, but what with so many apps out there for radio, it would cost a lot just to test them all

Cheers

Re: Which radio app?

I have wunderradio and it is impressive. iTunes Store

Costs a few quid, but well worth it. I always listen to talk sport in the car so now hook the ipod and stream the station. Far, far better quality.

Re: Which radio app?

I use FStream which is free - it plays all BBC radio stations as long as you enter them in manually to your favourites - there are about 5 guides how to do this on the app's comments/feedback.

Re: Which radio app?

I take it you need to be connected to Wifi for these?

Also, which Camera App is considered the 'best'? don't mind paying.

Sorry to jack your thread

Wunderadio can alos connect via 3G, but think its only some stations.

I use Snapture for my photos, very customisable.

Re: Which radio app?

Which of these radio apps work well over 3G? I'd like to listen to Radio 1 while at work. I don't have wi-fi here but I do have a very decent 3G signal. Which apps would you recommend?

Thanks

Mojo

I'd recommend what I already recommended matey. When I'm in the car, no wifi, only 3G or Edge and it works a treat.

I vote for tunin as well. I use the freebie version and have had no issues with it at all.

You only need to enter the URL mate, once you entered this just save it and start listening to the radio and it will find the rest automatically for you.

This is the URL I use for Radio 1 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/wm_asx/aod/radio1.asx

Re: Which radio app?

I've tried these and none work:

Name: BBC Radio One
URL: BBC Radio 1
Format: WMA
Bitrate (kbs): leave this empty

(both with Format and KBS blank/notblank)

And this one:

mms://wmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/wms/radio1/radio1_nb_e1s1?bbc-uid=f4c72f0f6e3e846974e262486010633984c740a4901071 5444ef1052ac08a8ec&amp

My wi-fi is on and I have a strong 3G signal. The strange is that the classique one already installed by default worked before but it doesn't anymore.

I'm stuck, help please?

Re: Which radio app?

Downloaded WunderRadio. Fantastic. Just been listening to a radio station in Kitwe, Zambia. Reminded me of my childhood when I lived about 40 miles from where the station is based.

Re: Which radio app?

I download Internet Radio Box which is a much cheaper alternative at only £0.59. It also gets all the BBC radio stations plus pretty much every other radio station that is available online. It really easy to find on the apps store as it is in the top 10 and has been for a while.

Re: Which radio app?

I have both Wunderradio and Internet Radio Box. To be honest I only use Internet Radio Box now and for anyone who hasn't yet bought a radio app, I would save the cash and pick up IRB
