Re: Your TOP 10 Iphone Apps

Just apps or apps and games? I've personally got more games than app's at the moment.

There's a fitness app (the name escapes me right now) which is pretty good, I need to get back into shape for summer! lol

The Ebay app is a nicer way of accessing Ebay rather than through the website.

If you have a PS3 you may be interested in my app which was released for sale yesterday; http://www.avforums.com/forums/ps3/9...ver-1-0-a.html

Just checking out ifooty and looking good.

Pity it can't show the fixture list without going onto Safari, but no biggy.

I agree, you can see who they are playing that day normally by choosing the team in the table and then 'news' and it normally is the top story.

They have just added few more features, 'matches today' but apart from that day it lacks future fixtures.

Re: Your TOP 10 Iphone Apps

My top 13 in no particular order!

I don't mind paying for apps if they give me something in return and add value to the phone.

Wunder Radio (did use FStream - which is free - but it was a bit flakey)
National Rail Enquiries (shame they have the monopoly and charge £4.99, but it is good)
Twiterfon
Facebook
Google (voice search is handy, and actually works if you speak in a North American accent - you do sound like an idiot though so not something to do on the train)
Dictionary (always handy)
ShapeWriter (good for composing long emails)
Tube Delux (handy for the map and journey planning)
Radio Times (another handy app, as the name suggests, it's the TV listings from RT, very slick, could do with a landscape view though)
Stanza (an e-reader for the iphone with lots of free books)
Scramble (very addictive)
Flight Control (more addictive that Scramble - an excellent little game that is due for an update soon. My top score at the moment is 112 - don't know how I managed it!)

There are others on there like google earth, locly, topple, fieldrunners which stay on my phone and get used now and again.

Re: Your TOP 10 Iphone Apps

I've probably not got ten I could recommend but I've got a few favs that i use every week.

1. Trails- good if you're a walker or mtb'er. Records your route using gps so you can view the route later on and keep a track of distance n times n elavations etc.

2. TapTap Revenge 2 - good game if you like the guitar hero type game. Basically tap in time to the music, loads of tunes to download although a lot of them are American so you might not recognise them. Multiplayer and score boards make it a great game and a new download generally every wee and if there is something you like the game will link you to itunes to buy it.

3. WoodenLabyrinth3D - good puzzle/board type game which takes patience, time n concentration. Looooooads of levels and you can download more user made levels also. Completetion records plus par and developer records to beat meaning it lasts quite a while.

4. LastFM - if you're into your music but never sure of similar artists or end up listening to the same artists over n over and are never sure if you'll like an artist. You basically go on their websit en sign up for it, input some of your favourtie artists and you can then stream music to your iphone and it'll suggests bands n artists and you can rate whetehr you like them or not. If you dont like them it doesnt send them again and if you do it'll send other tracks of theirs and similar tracks and artists again.

5. Ebay - just handy if your away from your pc but have somet you need to bid on.

6. Fring - basically msn on the move. If you're like me n get bored on the train or waiting for work to start again or just have time for a quick chat with your msn contacts then this will do exactly that.

I think that's really my top used programs.

Re: Your TOP 10 Iphone Apps

1) Log Me In Ignition - £17.99

Not cheap but the best remote access app/software by a mile

2) Pro RSS

The only workable offline RSS reader I have found for the iphone

3) ShopShop

handy shopping list app

4) Night stand

Got it free before it went paid for. Keeps my bedside table minimalist.

5) AppSniper

Keep a look out for apps on sale

6) Tioti TV+

Better (IMHO) than Sky+

7) Baby Alert

Turn your iphone into a baby monitor. Incredibly useful if you ever want to leave a sleeping child in another room at someone elses house.

8) Cooliris

The best way of browsing Flickr by a country mile

The latest app that I am loving isn’t really an app. TVersity is a media server that can stream and/or transcode music movies and photos from your computer to the iPhone or any other internet device. Saves taking up space in the iPhone.

Others that I use all the time are:
Skype, Stanza, Wikipanion, Evernote.

Games I’m playing at the moment include:
Sway (awesome, if a little short), Contraptions, Flight Control, The Plateau, Rolando, Fieldrunners and Galcon

Re: Your TOP 10 Iphone Apps

A lot of the apps listed so far are just fluff imo ipint etc unlikely to stay on your phone for more than a few days.

I thought a top ten list would consist of the essentials and apps that add real functionality. also most of the people I know with iphones would never dream of paying for an app - why is this? in my view some apps are cheap for what they bring to the phone!

My Top Ten in no order

Things
Sky News
Last.fm
Stanza
Air sharing
Tv Guide
Wunderradio
Facebook
IM+ (Although its frustratingly flaky)
Google

Best games I have played are

Drawrace
Blocked
Peggle
