hi again,
got the missus a new nano for xmas and im wanting the artwork for the albums (putting music on it so its ready for her to use), ive got to register to do this i beleive?

i dont want to register a credit card though, can i still do this please, or delay it till after xmas?

also do i register it in her name still etc.

Unless they've changed it you have to enter a method of payment before you can complete the account creation.

Once you have created the account you can remove it.

This is what I did for my son and daughter's iTunes.

If you really don't want to enter CC then you maybe able to open the account with an iTunes voucher.

I don't beleive the account needs to be in a name related to the user. As long as the user has the username and password entered then they will be able to use it with any iPod you connect to that iTunes.

It's been a year since I set up my daughter's account so things may have changed since then.

thanks, i really want to avoid using a credit card to register it.

can you register it with an itunes voucher 100% anyone? dont want to buy one and find out you can no longer do this to register?

im using the latest version of i tunes, downloaded it today.

Why don't you go through the process of creating an iTunes account and see what it will let you use.

Doing a quick google it does look like you can use a gift voucher - you may even be able to do it with an expired code. Here are a couple of links to read through

If the hacks don't work then it certainly appears that using a real unused voucher will work fine.

cheers nigel, that worked a treat using an expired voucher number provided on the 2nd link. registered now and got all the artwork.
