itunes question

New to itunes from Sonicstage.

Just a got an ipod photo after having trouble with a HD5 and have never used itunes. How do I get it to seamlessly playback tracks without the pause between?

Probably a question that has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer.

I'm pretty sure that iPod & iTunes don't support seamless playback sadly.

You can join tracks together so that they do play back gapless... but there is no way to unjoin them. Otherwise, unfortunately there will be a microscopic gap between tracks since the iPod is not a gapless player. Other issues could be that you were ripping with a gap, although if you're importing CD's through iTunes this will not be the case.

It was war of the worlds two disc set that I was ripping. Have done it through itunes. So are you saying that on itunes it should be seamless but the ipod will pause when playing back?
