HulloMail an alternative to Visual Voicemail

iTunes Store

in UK and US app store, this is an alternative to visual voicemail. I am testing it with a Vodafone Sim Only and will let you know how well it works.

Its free BTW.

Its working now, after a bit of keypad fiddling etc.

I get push notification about 45 seconds after the message and it works exactly like visual voicemail. I only wish i could replace the voicemail button with Hullomail.

That's actually quite impressive - thanks for the heads up.

Hi
Could you share your settings (I also have Vodafone pay monthly sim only)?
I don't get any push notifications when someone has left a message, I have to manually check for messages using the App. Also when setting up my account I had to choose "other network", Vodafone Standard or Vodafone Premium didn't work for me.
Cheers

Sure, my advice would be to go into the website and change the settings there, because the iphone settings just "flashed" alot and didn't change anything.

Voda Standard.

Also be sure to follow the divert procedure (i had to do the #21 cancellation first) then the long setup number.

I ought to do a floow up post (especially as hutch locked down a dupe from Azzin)

I used Hullo on Voda for about 5 months.

+ves
It worked as a visual voicemail
Gave Push notifications on messages and missed calls

-ves
I experienced large delays between messages being left and then being delivered to my phone.
I got annoyed with having to delete the missed calls from Hullo and from the phone icon
It would take a long time from pressing the button to play before actually playing the message.

Summary:
In all honesty i have deleted it and i have turned my voicemail off. If someone REALLY wants me, usually they'll ring twice. If they don't then they were probably only trying to sell me something
