whats app

Instant Messenger for iPhone users. Seems to work well. Tried it on mine and my daughters phone.

Re: whats app

Another vote for this app, seems to work well and more functions to come in future updates.

Works similar to the Blackberry message service but for iPhones if you have used it.

Re: whats app

Downloaded this 3 times now 1st time said couldnt connet to a network etc and to make sure I have wfi/3g turned on basically, deleted. So downloaded a second time. Then it worked but I didnt realise I was getting messages back until I turned the phone off then back on. Then I recieved a preview/notification of an incoming message like you get on texts and tried to open the app to view it, went the same way as before.

Deleted reinstalled a 3rd time. Now it tells me its failed to register me with a chat server! Rebooted etc etc no joy. I'm on t-mobile I read that it wont work on t-mobile, but it DID work. Won't work for another friend on o2 either. Same issues. But other friends that have had it longer seem to be gettin gon fine with it!

Any ideas?

Never turned the damn phone off and back on so many times!

Re: whats app

The push notifications are too slow to be practical, but a text 1st and you're away.

Love it.

Been using this for a few days. Works really well though I've only been conversing with the same user (she via Blackberry), both on WiFi. It's definitely saved us a few bob since!

The BB version costs £3ish apparently whereas mine was 59p
