Shame old Allowance. I really liked that App, but this O2 one is excellent and will kill it. Ive already deleted it and the O2 one sits smugly where Allowance used to be.

Will have to have a look at this. I used to love allowance, used it all the time. Found no use for it when I added the unlimited text bolt on though.

I get a "Network Unavailable. Please check network connection or try again later" error message when I try to use this app on my 3GS.

Network connection is working perfectly for everything else including when I downloaded the app.

Couldn't log in yesterday but haven't tried this morning. Is there much point to this if you're on PAYG anyway? I guess it's handy for bolts on's etc but not much else.

I keep getting this error when attempting to sign in
"Network Unavilable. Please check network connection or try again later"

I think the problem is due to having linked accounts. I have both an iPhone and Simplicity sim under the same logon.

On the o2 forum boards there is a suggestion to unlink your additional accounts!

I've sent customer services an email to inform them of the problem. Hope it gets fixed soon.

My linkage is between Broadband and iPhone though.
If it is the case, it is bloody useless. I am not de-linking my accounts.

Either way, I have been trying on and off since yesterday and it's not working. Thank god for the trusted Mobile Allowance App.


PS: Is it me or is O2 never able to get it right first time ???

Mine just crashes out after entering my 4 digit code.. I've also got linked accounts and will not unlink, so they got to get this sorted if linking is the problem.

I have no linked accounts yet still cannot connect using this app and my own details. If I use my brothers login details for his iPhone account it works perfectly.

I had the above problem, requested a new password from the site, and from using that it now works. Weird. Teething problems I guess.

It's far easier on the eye than Allowances, and the guages that show how much you've used etc are pretty cool.

Now know exactly how long I have to wait until my renewal (and 3GS) date - AGES!!!

Now working for me, I have 2 iPhones on my contract and can view both with the app. Great app and access to the info was very quick even on EDGE
