Good twitter app for the Iphone ?

I like Twitterific. Free version is supported by ads, so you can test it out.

Tweetdeck is free and pretty good - bit cluttery though.

Tweetie you need to pay for but I find it's great and my one of choice.

Currently using twitterfon, which was free and seems ok, quite a clean look to it.

Depending how often you Tweet but I would say TwitterFon if you just want to post the odd tweet and mainly follow other people.

But if you want to use Twitters features extensively, posting comments, pics, audio etc I would say Twittlator Pro wins hands down.

I don't have a twitter account, but would quite like to follow a couple of people (i.e. Killzone.com for example), can any of the twitter apps let me do this without having to sign up? Just tried TwitterFon but it requires me to create an account. Obviously a free version would be preferable

I only use it for folling things (eg infinity ward etc) but have had to sign up to twitter to do it too. You can lock down your account though to make it all private and doesn't take too lnog.

I'm not interested in 'tweeting' but would be good if I can follow people as updates get posted on there first a lot of the time

I started with Twitterfon but moved on to Tweetie (not free) as I got more into it. I forget why now

Love Tweetie though.

I use Twitterfon but I only read/follow a few people such as Jonathan Ross, Chris Moyles, Alan Carr and Rob Brydon - that's nearly all of them lol.

However, I think I would use it a bit more if I knew all the features of Twitter, or the apps.

Is there a way of checking what other people say to people I follow ie, Scott Mills often asks questions to his followers, but I can't see what others have said so I can check up before I post something and find 10 other people have suggested the same.

Think I have the jest of everything else...

Unless it's comments on a twitpic i don't think you can see the comments unless you are following the person....oh and if it is a direct message i'm not sure you can see them at all (i could well be wrong though)

IM+ which is multi IM app has Facebook and Twitter support and version 3.1 (just out) has push support.

Im waiting for one that will do Push Notifications! I always forget to look at it so a couple of days pass and there 200 updates!!!

Will be much nicer once we have a push one so as soon as its posted it pops up on your sreen!

There would need to be the option of only receiving notifications for selected people though, or you'd be getting mesages through every minute if you follow a lot of people!

i use tweetie for reading tweets but for any jailbroken iphone users reading this you may wanna check out qTwitter from cydia. its free and allows you to update your facebook and tweeter at the same time without running an app. you just slide your finger from the top of the screen downwards (from any app) and start typing.

Twitterfon Pro for all-round twitter use (better than Tweetie imo)

qTweeter for in-app or twitter+facebook updating
