Good Forum App?

Hi all,
i'm after an app that makes reading forums on the iphone easier. I know I can use the internet but it is difficult & awkward with the zoom levels etc.

Most specifically i'll be after using this forums and some gaming ones via an app.

I know there is one called 'Forums' for £5.99 but it gets terrible reviews.

Thanks....

How about using an RSS feed - least that way you can see the topics you are interested in quickly, before going into the full site?

Sorry to be a 'noob' but I've never used RSS feeds before. Could you explain how I could do this on the iPhone, using this forum for example?

Thanks

Do a search on the iPhone App store for RSS and find a free reader (although in time, you may want to upgrade to something like "Newsstand" which looks really cool).

I currently use "FreeRSS" which does what it says!

You then have to add RSS feeds. You will see the top of the site page next to the AVF address, the RSS symbol. If you click on that (on your PC) then you can subscribe to the news feed - which is a basically a summary of the topics in the forums that are updated 'live' - so basically you can view the headlines of sites, without having to actually visit the site.

The iPhone app you download will tell you how to add the feeds (either using the full URL which is a pain, or visiting the site in question and clicking 'Add RSS' feed - something like that) and then you will start to build up a list of feeds. I currently have about 8 that i check daily.

Good luck!

Re: Good Forum App?

Ah rite, so you read them through an application then and not on the browser?

I've always seen the RSS icon in the address field on Firefox and often clicked on it to see what it does, only for it to always ask if I want to subscribe to the site etc.

Thank you
