Re: FaceFighter

Yeah I D/L it the other day.

Pity the face forming is a bit crap. Comes out looking nothing like the default face.

Re: FaceFighter

Glad you are enjoying FaceFighter!

I can answer questions about the game here, if you like, or you can join us over at our blog at: [ url removed ].

I hear you about the face editing technology. It is a work in progress. If you go back and look at our first app -- [ url removed ] -- you'll see that we handled face editing a bit differently there, and I think we've gotten better with FaceFighter. But there is still plenty of room for improvement, as you note.

We do plan consistent free content upgrades (as well as technological improvements) in future version releases of the game, so if you have ideas for what you'd like to see, shout it out.

Thanks!

Welcome to the AVForums

Good to see developers chatting directly to the users - thanks for the info, and it'd great news to hear that you will be adding to the app......even better that those additions will be free

The App Store is a crazy market. You drop your price when your sales go up, you raise it when you sales go down, and one of the most effective things you can do to improve sales overall is to give things away for free. It's like Alice in Wonderland designed the place.

We're still trying to figure it out.

But talking with customers is easy and fun (most of the time) -- happy to do it.

Our update plans for FaceFighter are still taking shape. The project director -- Emmanuel Valdez -- has been out two weeks getting to know his new baby girl, Emma, who was delivered just hours after Em submitted the final build of FaceFighter. Yes, it was a hell of a week, getting FF ready for submission ...

Anyway, we should be seeing Em back in the office on Monday, so we'll huddle up at that point and decide which of the long, long list of backlog items to start polishing up for FaceFighter version 1.1.

In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy the initial release, beating the heck out of Big Ben and anyone else you care to import.

Re: FaceFighter

I put on my wife's face lol. I now threaten to beat her up on a regular basis.

She was not amused.

One improvement I can think of is, when you take a picture have the eyes and mouth template on the screen as you take the photo.

Thanks for the suggestion ... not sure how we'd handle zooming in this case, seems to me you'd have to take every photo at the same distance from the subject to accommodate the template, but maybe having the template up there would be good enough in most cases, with the exiting editor available for tweaks.

I'll talk to the guys about it.

Re: FaceFighter

I've been informed via private message that I made a faux pas by including links in one of my posts up thread. Just wanted to apologize for doing this -- it was my fault for not properly understanding the forum rules. Sorry!
