Does an app exist that can do this...

I'm trying to find if an app exists that can put an icon on my springboard that when selected will bring up the send text feature with the completed number from one of my contacts.

Essentially I want to press one icon that will let me send a text to my wife without having to go into contacts, find her. Very lazy I know!

If anyone knows of such a wonderful app I would love to hear about it!

I would of posted this in the Apple App Store but I can also use Cydia.

if you have sent a txt to her it keeps it as a conversation so u only need to open messages and reply from that, or failing that open messages write a new message but in the spot where you hit the + sign to scroll through contacts just type first few letters and will find it that way, so easy

...or alternatively get an HTC Hero, the "People" widget that comes with the phone as standard does what you want.

There's an app called Contact that allows what you want. If you get in quick, it's half price at 59p, but I think that ends today.
