Someone please suggest an app for sending group SMS's

Need an app for sending text messages to preset groups of people. The iPhone is usless for this. I realise you can use the + button to add people but you have to do it every time you want to send a message, and worst of all... the + is right next to the Cancel button! Almost made me launch my iPhone last night, this has to be one of the iPhones biggest flaws. Anyhow, is there anything in the app store to help?

Only ones I can find in the store are for those crappy free SMS services. Just a dead simple app that could add groups to the native messages app, nothing fancy.

Re: Someone please suggest an app for sending group SMS's

But once youve made your first message and selected everone you want in that group, the SMS will be saved anyway so just go back into that message again to send another one,

Either way youd have still had to add people to the group anyway, unless it was "to All" but who'd do that cos youd end up sending messages to landlines and allsorts

Yep exactly

Send a message once to all the people you want and from then on you can send new messages to all those people without needing to add them again.

You just need to think differently.

Thats a cludge, not a solution sorry. Every phone under sun has group management, its a huge shortcoming of the iPhone. Did some googling and it seems a vast amount of people feel the same way. For a start, what if that message gets deleted?

Re: Someone please suggest an app for sending group SMS's

There is an app on the app store called "Groups", I haven't downloaded it myself but i'm led to believe this is the perfect solution for what you need it for.

Let us know how you get on, and if it does the job.
