Waze? Coming to UK?

Just discovered a new kind of Sat Nav.

Only available in US at the moment, but i hope its rolled out to the UK soon.

Totally free, user created, dynamic live Sat Nav!

Re: Waze? Coming to UK?

Looks interesting like the idea of dynamic rerouting based on current issues.. would imagine it would be a bit poor until loads of people have been using it and set up routes, roads etc.....

Wonder how many people using it, it needs to work properly & whether you always need to have a good phone signal for the data transfer?

Re: Waze? Coming to UK?

Something that could make use of the data here would be good - OpenStreetMap

If fact there is a 5 year old round-about down my road that is not on the latest TeleAtlas (tomtom etc) or Navteq (copilot etc) maps that are on openstreetmap.

Re: Waze? Coming to UK?

Well my entire road doesn't even show on OpenStreetMap, and my house is over 100 years old
