Bose Sounddock 2 with an Iphone QUESTIONS?

1, Is it necessary to have the Iphone in 'flight mode' when you are are using it with the dock?
2, If you don't have it in flight mode does the phone searching for signal cause 'speaker noise' like when you put any other phone near a car radio???
3, Can I use these 2 together to listen to Last.fm, ie can the sounddock play streaming music out loud?

Thank you kindly

Re: Bose Sounddock 2 with an Iphone QUESTIONS?

Cool, cheers.

I haven't got the sounddock or the iphone yet. But knowing that I might have to make the jump.

Re the iphone, I've only considered it now its down to a reasonable price on contract. I presume a new version will be out this year and the price will go up silly again. Just wondered if I do get one now, what will I be missing out on with the new one?

Re: Bose Sounddock 2 with an Iphone QUESTIONS?

A guy from work who has no reason to lie told me his girlfriends friend got this deal.
Iphone free on a 12 months contract £30 a month. I find it hard to believe because 02 sell the phone for £400 while £30 x12 is £360 meaning they are making a £40 less where is the bussines sense in that? Work mate told me she has been with O2 for a while and told them she was going to leave as a rival company were doing a touch phone she wanted (she was just saying that to get a better deal). I find it hard to believe o2 would any deals let alone something like that on an iphone.

I bought the cheapest sound dock from waitrose with a year warrenty or 2 year can't remember now but it cost me £150. Waitrose had a Roberts speaker and radio system for £200 which is good tempted to get that but it wasn't loud enough for me as I work in a warehouse had to be quite loud.

I bought my iphone about 3 weeks ago despite hearing rumours a new one would be coming out soon. I thought the new one might offer 3 mega pixel camera instead of 2 (no big deal to me) offer video recording though I think the new software 3.0 will offer that anyway, maybe 32Gb but if 16GB costs £150 plus contract what price a 32GB? Better battery well you can buy longer lasting batterys.

Re: Bose Sounddock 2 with an Iphone QUESTIONS?

Before you settle on Bose - I seriously suggest that you try some of the other docks as well.

Consider B&W and JBL also. Top tip - you could buy a selection from the Applestore online, get free delivery and free returns and keep the dock that sounds best to you.

Re: Bose Sounddock 2, Alternatives???

Funny you should suggest looking at some others.
Today I went to Richer Sounds and had a look at the Cambridge audio ONE. I was very impressed, but it comes in at £500 once you buy some decent speakers.
Can anyone suggest anything similar that comes in at £400 with decent speakers?????????
???????????Please help??????/
