I've got me a 16GB 3G Iphone.

I need

a) A case
b) A Screen protector
c) A docking station

What would people recommend? Do I need to go 'official' for the docking station for it to work? I've found out that docking stations for the 2G Iphone don't fit the 3G one which is a bit of a PITA.

Case - I'd highly recommend Vaja if you can justify spending a bit on a quality case.

I have the classic retro slim bag in the same colour as the example, and have to say it is a quality case. I will probably use Vaja for the majority of my cases from now on.

Screen protector - After sticking with invisible Shield for quite a few ipod generations, i tried the power support shield and it is much better. You can get them directly from the Apple store which is a plus. I think it's £10 for two off the top of my head. Most people can't even tell i have a screen protector on my iPhone when they use it.

Dock - Not sure if you can get any other docks for the iPhone 3G. But the official one from Apple does its job. Overpriced at £19, but it's just 'one of those' purchases.

Go for an InvisibleShield (made by ZAGG) - Full Body and screen protection film.
If fitted correctly they are superb. I would do this even if you intend to get a case, a rubber/silicon case can scratch the hell out of the iPhone if debris/grit/dust gets trapped between the case and phone.
