Another vote here for the standard Apple Dock. Well built (surprisingly heavy)... shame it's not black though

Re: Iphone dock - any recommendations?

Fortunately for me, I found the iphone will sit nicely in the standard ipod docks - which is lucky cos I have two of them (one for the computer, and one downstairs connected to the amp) - and charge away quite happily... I even found that the iPod part of the iPhone works with the remote control I have for the downstairs dock - tho strangely, if the phone is asleep, pressing the remote will wake it up and show the lock screen, but won't launch the iPod player - you have to get up and slide the lock and THEN press play with the remote and it will launch to the iPod player.....

same for me. I had an iPod Photo dock from a couple of years ago and so far everything has fitted in it without a dock adapter. The iPhone works perfectly in it so I have no complaints!

Re: Iphone dock - any recommendations?

This looks too good to be true. I saw these for £20 in the Apple Store

Re: Iphone dock - any recommendations?

Looks like a rip off to me! £20 for just the insert! My dock that came with 5 adapters and a remote control only cost £15! And they are all genuine Apple! Even £6 from ebay that's a lot of money for a tiny plastic insert!

My dock has the adapter in it for the 5G video ipod, 60gb one, and the iphone sits in it perfectly with no wobbling. Likewise with my non-genuine Apple dock I have upstairs plugged into the PC...

I'd go nuts changing the adapter everytime I wanted to charge my iphone or play music from my ipod!

Nuts!
