Just put the Griffin Elan Form Leather Case on my phone and it looks great in my oppinion... i like how it covers the edges of the screen protector so it is unable to peel off in my pocket etc, nothing special about it i guess but i do like how it looks. One thing i am going to have to watch is when i have my phone in my survivor i can just put my phone down any old way as the rubber etc takes the brunt of anything i do, but i defo dont feel safe with it in the Elan at the moment....time will tell i guess haha

oh one thing i have been meaning to ask... is there a protector for the home button? I have seen smiley face ones etc but there not for me, im looking for one that is not seen easily... this may sound daft but one thats like a contact lens that you would put in your eye.....thats the kind of thing im after...... also i dont want one that buldges out the way if you know what i mean.... i want it to curve in with the shape of the buton (as a contact lense would with your eye), sory but using a contact lens seems to explain what im after the best way.

Cheers

after searching for a while yaka, i could only find zagg ones and also noticed front protectors had to be purchased at the same time ... i even tryed ebay to see if there were any cheap chinese ones that i could try out as long as they were pennies but couldnt find anything.... im not buying the protectors just for the button protector as im really happy with media devil protectors. Thanks Yaka

Just upgraded to the 4S. I've got a bag full of iPhone 4 cases and none of them fit the 4s because the mute switch isn't aligned.

So annoying.

Love the look of the ringke bumper, but the silicone at the back looks like it'd sag like the neo hybrid matte does.

Loved the casecrown glider but for some reason it seems too tight for the 4s and has already marked the band.

All I want is a case that provides all over protection, isn't slippy and doesn't add huge amounts of bulk. I hate the silicone cases because they seem to not be tight enough around the edges of the screen.

Okay, rant over, off to look at cases.

Look at the Desmay Slight or the Incipio Feather.

currently a 3GS owner of 2 years and have had an incase slider and an anti glare screen protector on since day one.

now looking to upgrade to 4s, anyone have this combo on the 4s?
I did a quick youtube search and it mentions that it lifts screen protectors and issues with the camera and flash cut out for some reason?

i like the screen protector on, so that's a definite when i upgrade to 4s.
i like the incase slider, but open to other options which offer similar benefits:
- not too bulky
- mine has lasted me 2 years without looking grubby
- protects back, side and front lip

Speck candyshell but it won't fit on a dock. They do a candyshell flip though which is similar to the slider but not used one.

I've been looking at the Incase but have been put off by the issues you mention. The Incipio feather is a favourite of mine. The only downside is that it doesn't have a lip to protect the front.

Thanks

Yeah I want full round protection with lip

Candyshell is looking good
Few downside to the flip version is the join area being flexible moves on the lip and more chance of dust collection

Will have to see one in action otherwise I see they still have the the non flip

having done some research i see they have improved it with better materials which by picture can be distinguished with larger camera and flash cut out. i just want to make sure these places i see on amazon etc. are selling the newer ones and not just using new pictures etc.

Flip I can't comment on but I'm almost certain dave m posted a while back regarding the satin ones, I think he has one and said you can only get it from over seas, I may be wrong tho.

Im on the look out for another case but not for myself this time, it's for the missis, she's planning on getting a white 4s and looking for a case like the griffin élan form but girly looking. She was just going to get a cheapy case of eBay but I'm buying descent screen protectors for her so I don't want them peeling within a week with a crap case fitted. Also is there any difference in the cases for a white or black 4s just Iv seen them advertised for white only which I found a little odd. Cheers

I assume cases which affect the screen protectors are those with a front lip?

One thing I was thinking about on the speck is they have a rubber bit on the corner I wander if that will dig into palm if holding one handed?

All I want is a thin, hardcase which protects back side and lip the front edge so the screen doesn't make contact with surface.

I have used the candyshell since launch and no problems with anything digging in my hand. The back of the case is smooth, no sticking out bits.I also use power support screen protectors and the candyshell doesn't make it peel.
