Not sure, but I bought the adjustable model as it was the same price as the standard one. £20.50 from Morpeth Mobiles

The adjustable one has 4 thumbscrews on the back so is easily changed. The only thing I'd say that would make it worse than the standard one is that it has also been "carved" for thicker cases so the feather does rock back under pressure but then just stays there. I'm more than happy with it though

Well I would just get the adjustable one but with pass through connector the cheapest I can find it is £42. Plus the proclip and delivery, i'm looking £60.

Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy brodit stuff is?

I've been looking around for some time for a passthrough Brodit and Pro Clip and they are a similar price wherever you find them. Post back here if you find a bargain though.

Re: Brodit iPhone holder - will the standard one take iPhone in a Incipio Feather cas

Quick update for anyone interested.

I received my Brodit today and had it fitted in 5 mins. And yes, if you have an Incipio Feather case you do need the adjustable type. Because the Feather is so slim, and the Adjustable Brodit is designed to take cases of all sizes, it does rock very slightly but does not move in use. However this is not a problem because the Active model clicks into the dock connector and this helps hold it steady. Non-active Brodits might rock a little bit in use with cases as thin as the Feather, but i dont think its really going to be an issue. You can also tighten them up to prevent this, but its not so easy to drop the iPhone in and needs more of a push, i guess it personal preference.

I am over the moon with it, coupled with THIS cable it really is the dogs danglies.

I got mine from DSL Developments as they take Paypal and i had the money in my Paypal account. However the cheapest i have found is a seller on Amazon Marketplace called 'The_Mount_Shop' (although the actual Proclip was slightly more expensive).

Thanks for keeping us informed, I especially found it useful as I think we have both gone for the same set up, do you have this mount... BRODIT PROCLIP 915290 PASS THROUGH HOLDER - iPHONE 3GS on eBay (end time 02-Nov-09 15:56:45 GMT) I bought the cable you recommended and it came through the post today. Not tried it out yet though.

Thanks again

Re: Brodit iPhone holder - will the standard one take iPhone in a Incipio Feather cas

Thanks from me too Auto for your cable recommendation. This and a Proclip/Brodit mount (the one that clamps the connector) have made my car iPhone experience twice as good! Two things to note:

1. If you get the Brodit that clamps the connector don't be put off by the the 3-in-1 cable not seeming to fit - you just have to force it in and then the 'locking hooks' on the cable are held pressed by the mount - phew! :-)

2. The line level is a little low but, if you're playing a quiet track and the interference is worrying you, you can just unplug the USB cable from the charger for a short while. This holder means that the phone still sends the line out regardless.

All in all I can thoroughly recommend this solution. My wife bought a TomTom mount for nearly twice the price and although it does handsfree better and has the GPS booster it's nowhere near as neat, doesn't put the phone within easy reach and the line level output is noisier.

Good AVFing!
