I've just ordered one of these iSkin CERULEAN RX - Features

it looks like the perfect home audio 'remote control' to me, for just £10 month and using the spotify iphone app I have access to virtually unlimited music without the need to have a computer or server running and without having to purchase and maintain a music library.

I'm planning on connecting it directly to my AV amp via a 3.5mm to phono lead and then power it from a USB port on my PS3 as I only have one dock and i use that in the kitchen.

You can get iPhone/iPod docks that have a 3.5mm or phone output for not a lot these days, so you could always use one of those as another option

Cool idea though... I have something similar for my iPod in the car. It works well but struggles with faster paced music, where the high notes distort.
