Smile Best Headphones reasonable price for the iphone

Hi Guys 1st of all I got my new and 1st iphone today the 3gs model. I wanted to know what the best headphones are that have the built in hands free kit. I already have a Sennheiser cx300 but I assume it will work but will not be able to speak as there is no microphone

So what is the best option I have seen this at play

Its a bit pricey and cheaper alternatives thanks

Re: Best Headphones reasonable price for the iphone

Griffin tunebuds. (look at amazon marketplace sellers for them)
Or here! http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4...d/Product.html

Includes in-ear buds and mic.

Made for the older phones though so there's no volume control

But the cord has a sortof fabricy-ness to it so it doesnt get tangled... really good and great sound quality for about £20.

Re: Best Headphones reasonable price for the iphone

I'm waiting for these to come out
iLuv Debuts iEP515 and iEP315 Earphones for iPhone - SlashPhone

They have the same functionality as the 3gs ones but with an in ear design.
Apparently the mic/volume/click to talk gizmo is supplied by/from apple

Nice, been looking for a set to replace my iPhone 3gs earbuds, they don't fit me that well (the left one only though) and keep on falling out!

Re: Best Headphones reasonable price for the iphone

Save up a bit, anything less than(imho) £50 is not going to be much better than the std apple ones.
I have a pair of U/E SuperFi 5pro that I use with both my ipod and iphone and they are very very good.
I see that UE have just anounced the SuperFi 5vi that are designed for the iphone and are about £90, if they are anything like the 5 pros they will blow your socks off.

Re: Best Headphones reasonable price for the iphone

What i like about the iLuv iEP515 and iEP315 is that they have the same functionallity as the genuine apple 3gs mic/volume/push to talk gadget.

As far as i know they are the only ones around - i may be wrong?

The standard type one's just do not fit well, i must have dodgy ears....

I'm really interested in these headphones, and I also notice that iLuv sell an adaptor which is essentially just the remote control and mic that you can plug any normal headphones into... sounds like the perfect solution! However you don't appear to be able to order them from the iLuv site to be shipped to the UK, and there don't appear to be any UK retailers either? Looks like I might have to find a friendly yank to buy a set and post it over here, fortunately I know a few!

These also have a volume control and music controls which work with the 3GS Scosche IDR650M Noise Isolating Earphones - Apple Store (U.K.)

They look quite nice. However I'm still waiting for a UK version of this iLuv which would then enable you to use any standard headphones.

They don't look all that different from Sony MDR-EX90LPs. I bought some about 18 months back for around £80 and thought they were excellent (they're still going strong) so to get them now for £24 delivered is a bargain!!

No control on the Sonys.

Do the Atomic Floyds have iPhone controls? Can't see anything on their site saying they do.

I bought some new Headphones last week. I cant do the ear canal type, they either fall out or i spend most of my time in pain as force them in. So i decided to go for the Big headphones.

Studio Headphones – Beats by Dr. Dre by Monster

They were stupidly expensive but i decided that as i listen to alot of music it was worth a punt. All i can say is WOW. These are the best things i've ever heard, i own a nice HC and i own a nice sert of Bose Headphones (that also weren't cheap) But the Dre's walk all over them on every level. I'm listening to tracks that i first listened to when i was a teenager in the 80's (Zeppelin, Sabbath et al) and i'm hearing rhythms and beats that i've never heard before. Bring it up to date and listen to "Lady Gaga's The Fame" and the bassline sends you through the back wall.

Stupidly expensive but they sound like nothing else. I appreicate most people wont be interested but the saying "you get what you pay for" is so, so true in the world of headphones. You'd be amazed how good your iPhone sounds when you stick the right cans on the end.

9/10 (they only lose a point because of the cost)

I decided to go wireless in the end, partly for convenience and partly because when I cycle to work in the rain I want to be able to stuff my phone down inside my bag (in it's waterproof case!) and not have wires trailing to it - so initially bought a pair of these: Motorola STEREO S9 Bluetooth Hands Free Headset: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Worked a treat, with decent enough sound quality. Only trouble was that I occasionally got signal drop outs, which could be quite frustrating. Lost them a few weeks ago and so decided to treat myself with the updated 'HD' model: Motorola MOTOROKR S9 HD Wireless High Definition Stereo: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Definate improvement in sound quality, although unfortunately I still get occasional drop outs when the bluetooth looses connection (although it normally restores quickly without me having to do anything).

They are surprisingly comfortable and the best thing is that you can control the volume and pause and stop (but not skip) tracks. You can even take calls and make calls using voice activated dialling.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but great for active people who hate the hassle of wires.

I had a pair of these before switching to the Klipsch S4i. The build quality wasn't very good and they packed up within 3 months. If you are going to buy them, get them from a high street store or a UK mainland website. I bought mine from Play who only warrantied them for 28 days due to some weird and wonderful Jersey law.

Skullcandy don't have a UK HQ, and you, also, need to be aware that the "life time warrany" only applies to the U.S. & Canada.
