gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

Got a set of these bluphones ( pg118 ) yesterday from toys r us whilst on a buggy search for my daughter.

I was surprised they were so cheap and wasn't even sure that they would work with my iPhone, but for £15 I thought it was worth the gamble!

I'm actually surprised how good they are for the price, they are VERY lightweight, are rechargeable via a USB power cord, paired up without any problems to my iPhone and they sound pretty good as well.

The only thing that doesn't work is the track skip function? don't know why as the volume works and I can make and receive calls without a problem, maybe there's a setting I can change?

For some reason I can't find them on the toys r us website, but they are the same as these:
Gear4 BluPhones Bluetooth Headphones – iWorld.co.uk

On my receipt they are listed as 'GEAR 4 BLUETOOTH H 022519'

Hope this helps others.

found what seems to be a very honest review here:

Review: Gear4 Bluphones @ Mods n Clocks

and seems they might be available at TKmax as well?

There is a known problem with the AVRCP Bluetooth profile and the iPhone. Some places claim it's not supported, others claim it is supported but there is a bug filed with Apple. Either way, it doesn't work, and AVRCP is the profile used to remotely control AV on the iPhone.

They look huge in the pictures, but in that writeup thread they look quite small.

I may pop out myself and have a look.

I was reading up on these yesterday and one review said that because there is nothing to hold the headphones in place there did come lose, from the ear, pretty easy. So maybe not that good for the GYM, but thats just one review someone who has a pair maybe able to tell us different.

I didn't think they had a microphone, so probably not very good at making calls.

Re: gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

They do have a microphone but i have read in reviews that the mic is not great - generally reviews suggest you need to talk a bit louder than usual to be heard ok.

Bradford Toys R Us just off M62, tried sheffield but no joy.

Just charging now.

They do have a mike but not sure what quality is like yet, but i mainly want them for on the treadmill at gym, as the wired ones are not long enough for me to rest my phone on the stand and it fell off the other day when i caught the wire, my shorts turned brown lol

Re: gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

Had a play with these:

They fit nice and snug and seem quite secure.

The problem i have is that they are just not loud enough for me. Also when i keep pressing the + volume control it goes to my last dialed number and starts calling them.

Gona take them back i need somthing more like the sound quality of a wire earphone as when im at the gym there is a lot of background noise.

Re: gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

Hi guys,
These work fine for music with the iphone and making a call. However my normal headset ran out of battery tonight whilst on he ps3 so i plugged these in. Registered OK however even though it said they were connected i could not hear anything and others could not hear me. Anyone tried them on their PS3?

Re: gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

The PS3 does not support A2DP, the protocol that allows music of other media audio to stream to the headphones. At this time, the PS3 does not support it so you can only have chat with a Bluetooth headset, typically a phone headset.

Re: gear4 bluphones bluetooth headphones £14.99

How long does you battery last in the headphone. I can charge mine fully, use them for a while then come back a few days later and they are dead. THis is nothing like my normal blutooth headset, i can leave that for 2 weeks and there is still charge in it,

Cheers
