TV picture show through when watching DVD

I have a Toshiba Regza C3030 x3030 series Digital TV with a Phillips DVD player connected via a scart lead. When watching a DVD you can see the TV picture ghosted behind the dvd picture. I have tried swapping the cart sockets but there is no difference.
Doe anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards

Max
