Component Switch Box

My tv only has one component input, but I am looking to connect a wii and dvd player. I have my eye on this http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...f=ord_cart_shr from Amazon and was wondering if anyone has had any experience of it as it seems a pretty good price (less than 20 quid including delivery). Is there any degredation in video quality? Is there any better alternatives you would suggest?
thanks
Mark

Re: Component Switch Box

Welcome to the forum!

The JS-Technology one should do the trick as you only need 2 in/1 out. HERE. There a few known issues with component switching units and the wii but JS Technology know their stuff and the guy that runs it is very helpful.

Re: Component Switch Box

Looking at the price of the JS Tech box and assuming you have a cheap DVD player (sorry if you have not) then get a upscaling DVD player with HDMI out for around the same price.

Tbh Andy these are the 2 options I was looking at - just thought the £20 switch box may have been a temporary solution, but I may just dig a bit deeper and look at a new DVD player.
Thanks for the quick replies - I'm new on here and a great forum

Re: Component Switch Box

Good point, sometimes it's not worth chucking money at old technology. Relegate the old DVD player to the bedroom and invest in a HDMI player. Philips do some cheapies that a few folks use on here.
