Optical Splitter Issue

Hi guys

I have a little bit of an issue; my setup as follows:

Sony 52X3500
DAVIS10
PS3
Sky HD

currently I have hdmi's all going to my tv to sort out my video output

I have a coaxial from the IS10 to a coaxial-optical converter, then a optical to the sky

My plan is to run an optical splitter from the IS10 (1 into 2) and run an optical from this unit to the tv and the PS3 respectively. (IS10 only had 1 optical in)

The issue I am having is the IS10 and tv both being Sony, have a synching
feature. E.g when I switch to my Sky, the audio system will connect to the appropriate source, when I switch to my PS3, again it will change the sound output for the PS3 and so on..

By splitting the optical signal; will this mess up the synching feature for the
IS10? Please help!!
