Which Cable? - newbie help, please

Hi,

I have been looking around at AV Receivers around £250 to power my Bose Acoustimass 10 and have decided to go for the Onkyo 505.

I have a Sky+, a Toshiba DVD and separate NAD amp and Denon CD.

I was hoping to use the Onkyo instead of the NAD as the amp, use my old Chord Co Siren to connect my CD, use my component leads to connect the DVD but wanted something half decent to connect my Sky+.

There appears to be an 'optical digital' connection on the Sky+ box and, without spending a fortune, I want to use that.

Does anyone know of a good optical digital cable that would do the job for under £50?

Cheers,
Nigel

You could get 25 for that money!!!! Seriously any optical cable will do. If you want a cheap brand name cable, go for VDC or profigold at around £12 each. Other than that, a cheap £3 cable from amazon etc. will do.

Crikey, the sites I have been on seem to want between £25-£70 for one of these!

I remember buying my Chord Co interconnect over 10 years ago for about £65! Having said that it did make a massive difference to the performance of my CD.

I thought the same might apply to these cables! Obviously not.

Thanks again davepuma!
