Connection Advice

In my office I have an Arcam DVD player that has component, scart and S-Video outputs. I would like to connect it to my PC LCD monitor (Dell 20" widescreen) which has a DVI (in use), VGA, S-Video and Composite inputs.

I have tried the S-Video direct connection but could only get a black and white picture.

Is there anyway I can connect these two and what is the best method?

Cheers

Re: Connection Advice

Have you altered the Arcam's video output for S-Video?

If you wanted the best connection type you could get a component to VGA converter from js-technology but TBH, I would try and get the S-Video working, it's a 20" PC monitor after all. Does the PC not have a DVD drive installed? (I know that a lot at my work don't or won't allow DVD playback for obvious reasons. They've even banned youtube etc... Must think we'll all skive and not work...)
