Speaker Wire for Quad Lites / Onkyo 605

Have the above combination and am thinking of QED Silver Anniversary for the front, QED Original for the rear.

Anyone suggest a better or equal option that would be cheaper? From reading various threads on here can't help thinking I might be getting ripped off!!

Thanks,

Thanks,

Silver plating loudspeaker cable conductors is pointless (apart from the extra profit margin to manufacturers and retailers).

Buy the cheapest cable which has an adequately low conductor resistance (less than about 5% of the speakers nominal impedance). Practical factors like colour of insulation, mechanical flexibility, insulation material fire resistance properties, etc. may also need to be considered.

I can’t find any mention of the resistance per metre, but yes, it looks as if it ought to be OK.
