Mains power cable to remove Macrovision - spoof

If you want to have a smile at one or two at "April Fools" type products, have a look here:

There's even a power mains cable with a 50amp fuse which also removes Macrovision! Classic!

I also like the gold plated Scart lead which:
Automatically corrects the color balance problems associated with the NTSC system (does not correct the spelling)

EDIT Thanks to SamRadford in this thread for pointing out the Oxy-Away Aerosol!

Re: Mains power cable to remove Macrovision - spoof

There used to be a guy called Peter William Belt. I remember reading about him in a copy of what hi-fi circa 1985...... I think the company was called PWB or P.W.B audio products

He used to sell this sort of product for real (not the HDMI leads obviously!)

I recall two inparticular.
One was a fantastic brush to use prior to each time you played an L.P. (remember them!?) It cost about £80 (back in '85!), and would place some special ion (not iron) coating on the vinyl surface, thereby aiding stylus tracking etc etc, claimed amazing improvement in sound quality. The brush was spot on identical to a Woolworths paint brush costing 30p, except there was a little sticky label on it with PWB written on.

There was also some kind of magic solution to coat the playing surface of a CD with, which provided improved optical tracking, again mega expensive.

There was also something with a paperclip, but I can't recall exactly now - it was 22 years ago!

If anyone happens to have any recollection of this, or indeed any adverts or articles, I would, sadly, be interested (in reading, not in buying!)
