which DV cable to buy?

sorry if this is a stupid question i'm new to this - i need a dv cable to connect my cannon md101 camcorder to panosonic dvd recorder, i can find cables for as cheap as £4.99 but the canon one is 30 quid - would i lose a lot of quality with a cheaper one?

Re: which DV cable to buy?

Connecting a camcorder via DV (aka firewire, iLink, ieee1394) is a digital connection and as long as it works then it will do the job. Expensive DV cables wont improve anything as all they are carrying is raw data streams, so just get a cheap cable and you will get as good a picture onto your DVD recorder as possible.

Mark.
