Mains Cable to LCD/Plasma

Mains Cable to LCD/Plasma

Simple question coming.....sorry

I am about to chase 2 conduits for a plasma wall install one for the mains and another for the av cables and just checking are mains cables for plasma/LCD standard as I haven't purchased a screen yet.

Mains cables for plasmas are usually a standard kettle plug with a ferrite to reduce interference.

You can buy clip on or split ferrites for standard cables.

When I made all of my mains cables I used split ferrites and heat-shrink.

Also some lcd screens use figure 8 mains leads or fixed type leads and not removable ones, just to err on the side of caution ask the retailer yopu buy you're screen from what type of lead it has.
