Component Cable Phono/BNC ??

Hi,

I tried searching for this before asking but it seems no one has asked this particular question before so I feel a bit dumb my needing to.

But I was looking to buy a 7m Component cable. However all of the custom Component Sellers say the cables can be either.

Phono - Phono
Phono - BNC
BNC - BNC

This is confusing me as I thought Phono was the types of cables used in composite?.

But I am not sure on BNC either.

So if I wished to attach my (when I soon buy it) AV Receiver component out to my Panasonic LXD32 LCD TV component in. Which do I buy from the three types above?.

Secondly out of curiosity the component cables that come to connect the Xbox360 and what you can buy for the Wii and PS2 are these 3-Phono or 3-BNC. As they look like the standard Blue-Red-Green connections that I have always associated as component.

Thanks
Anthony

Phono and BNC are types of connections, not types of cable.

What equipment are you looking to connect together to transmit a component signal between?

As I say from the "Component Out" of an AV-Receiver to the component in to the back of my 32" LCD Panasonic TV. Over a distance of ~7m in length.

Thanks

Re: Component Cable Phono/BNC ??

It will be phono. BNC is only used on really high end and pro kit tbh.

I must have dropped off and missed your paragraph! Sorry.

I concur with the phono - phono requiremnets you are 99.9% likely to have on your kit.
