Exclamation One Receiver, Two Theatres...HELP!

I am looking to hook up a second theatre using outdoor speakers on my deck. I already have the projector and screen setup and all the speakers wired into my living room where my other system is.

My question is how can I run this system outside off the same receiver I run my indoor system off of. I want it setup almost like an A/B system, so I can watch my indoor system or my outdoor system but never both at once.

I'm trying to avoid using multiple A/B speaker switches, I was hoping to find a complete 5.1 A/B switch or even just a 5 channel switch but so far no luck. I ultimately would like to run the pre-outs using Y cables to two seperate power amps to power each system but this is too expensive for now. I'm looking for a cheap alternative until I can afford this setup.

I'm, sure there is a simple solution to this but so far I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: One Receiver, Two Theatres...HELP!

Hello bigdaddyphat

If your AV Receiver has 5.1 Pre Outs cant you simply install a five channel Power Amp or low cost AV Receiver (with Analogue Inputs) to run the Outdoor system and 'mute' the main Loudspeaker Outlets on the Indoor AV Receiver.
