optical splitter ???

wotcha.

I'm just about to buy a 5.1 system for a small room. I don't want to spend a fortune, but want to be able to plug in my xbox360 & virgin media+.

Neither offer a coaxial connection, so the preference would be via optical.

The Sony SS500 5.1 system looks ok and is relatively cheap, but only has one optical input.

Would it be worth using an optical splitter - or do these degrade the sound output too much??

All advice will be much appreciated.

(also, if anyone knows a better 5.1 system for around £125 then please let me know!!)

Re: optical splitter ???

Hello fella, just bought one of these off eBay for £6.47 it is the same thing that they sell in Maplin and will do the trick for me until I can afford a huge overhaul in the future sometime. It should be delivered next week.
